yet another todo app.a minimal keyboard-first task list for mac.
it looks like a terminal and stays out of your way. press ^⌘/ over any app, type a todo, press return, then esc, and you’re back where you were.
this window is live, which is more than the app can say. click it, type a todo and press return. end it with @25 to start a timer.
what this todo app does
global shortcut, any app
a small window opens over whatever you’re doing on your mac, even in full screen. that app stays active and keeps its menu bar.
quick capture
new tasks go to the top of today, and the line is ready for the next one. every change says what happened, and undo takes it back.
focus timer in the line
end a task with @25 or press ⌘T, and its countdown starts the moment you add it. the menu bar counts along.
focus mode: one at a time
the focus bar shows the task you’re on and its time, above every app on your mac. press ^⌘. again, then n, to jot something down without leaving it.
unfinished tasks roll over
what you didn’t finish stays in today and shows since when. past is a quiet log of what you got done.
every keyboard layout
qwertz, azerty, dvorak, russian, and input methods like pinyin or kana. press ? for every shortcut.
local-first, no account
your tasks live on your mac, not on a server of ours. it works offline, and there’s no account to create.
due dates and repeats
a deadline that counts down, a task that waits until monday, or one that comes back every week.
subtasks
break a task into steps, one level deep. we’re using them already, on this list.
icloud sync
optional sync between your macs through your own icloud account. no server of ours, so nothing of ours to leak.
ai spelling and grammar
fix typos and grammar in place, with an ai provider and key of your choice. yes, there’s ai. no, it doesn’t plan your day.
iphone, ipad and watch
the same tasks on ios, ipados and watchos, with home and lock screen widgets. version 27, or whichever year it is when we get there.
items marked later are planned after the first release. we’re very good at planning.
